We all know people who seem to live unintentional lives. The people that things just seem to happen to. Those who do what they do because it’s what everyone else does. Work a job that doesn’t fulfill them in any way at all, marry someone they merely tolerate, have kids they never wanted. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with any of those things — as long as that’s actually what you want. We can’t all travel the world and found disruptive startups, and we don’t have to. Just know what you want, and work towards it.

But…I have found, after chasing my dreams for a while, this intentionality can become harmful to your peace of mind. Once you achieve your goal, you need to be able to enjoy it. That’s something I still struggle with still.

Anyway, thanks for a great article.
