This is very true. I recently sat down and calculated that my current Canadian lifestyle costs me $50,000 per year. A couple of years ago when I lived in Southern Italy, I was spending around $20,000 a year. As a result, I was working less and was much happier.

Once the pandemic is over, I need to re-evaluate where I want to live.
