So true. I can barely speak a word of anything but English, and I’m a little ashamed of that fact. I’ll never have the minerals to write in another language, so when I edit, I’m a lot more lenient to ESL speakers.

Plus, many ESL people I know are still far more fluent than the snarkastic monoglots who mock them.
