Perhaps I was a little snarky.

But it’s not the author who said that; it’s a quote from one of the ‘experts' he uses to explain fasting.

If people were stuffing their faces 24/7, fasting would work. But they’re not. Skipping breakfast and eating freely from noon to 8pm isn’t going to do a thing for weight loss. Millions of people do that already.

It’s not hyperbole. It’s flat-out untrue. And in a science-based article, that’s relevant.
