There's a deep danger in dismissing the past because it doesn't fit our current definition of what's morally correct. It's just the patriarchy. But it happened. And to cast aside thousands of years of thought because you don't care for the gender or skin colour of the people who came up with it would be as insane as me, as a white man, refusing to use Arabic numerals because I'm not a fan of fundamentalist Islam.

But corporations will keep pushing this nonsense as long as there's a dollar in it. The same corporations, let's be honest, that would be pushing the most disgusting racism if that's the way the cultural wind was blowing.

It's sad that this is where we are, and that with the world's knowledge more available than it's ever been, we've elected as a society to double down on the most primitive forms of tribalism. Sometimes I think it all went wrong the minute we started farming.
