It took me eight years to write my first novel. I had a full time job, but I wrote it at night after work. There was no Medium back then to suck up my time, but the grind of promotion took up hours and hours and gave nothing back.

It's not easy, but it's doable. Or it was. I was halfway through another novel when I found Medium, and haven't worked on it since then. But that has as much to do with despair at anyone reading it as it does with finding the time...
