Interesting thoughts. There are, it seems, some cells in our bodies that last a lifetime. But they are rare. Most of our cells will replace themselves and die off, with the result that by the time we reach old age, there’s next to nothing left of the child we once were.

It doesn’t even have to be a matter of uploading consciousness. We are already the Ship.
