I’m very much in the same boat. I only hear the news because they interrupt my music on the radio with it, and it’s always bad, and it never serves my goals or enriches my life in any way. The world you actually live in is the one that surrounds you, and your neighbor’s new dog has far more impact on your life than a coup in a country you’ll never visit.

When it comes down to it, I’d rather be uninformed than miserable.
