I'm really sorry to hear that.

Grief is a life sentence, it sometimes seems. It just spirals downwards forever, and when you think you're past it, here it comes again.

But the pain we feel at a departure is the shadow of the love we had. The bill that comes at the end of the meal. If it didn't hurt, it wouldn't mean a thing. There wouldn't be any point, to any of it.

Words only go so far. Only time knocks the edge off some pain, and even then, not entirely.

Hang in there!
