To your point, you're right that the stats on harassment and assault are underreported - though I don't imagine that men report it more often than women do when it happens to them.
My aim with this article was not to try to play 'what about'. I understand that women are at a far higher risk of sexual assault and harassment than men are, and the figures - even when it is reported - are appalling. My point was that blaming every man for the actions of some - far, far too many - is not fair and not helpful, and it makes a worse world for all of us. And that the world is not the horror show it seems to be online. As terrible as it can be, that's not the only reality.
