Agreed. It's easier when the artist in question is dead; I don't feel bad for enjoying Caravaggio's paintings, since he can't molest any more kids now. But it's different when they are still alive and capable of harm, and your money supports that.
You have to separate the art from the artist, or everything is problematic. Artists are human, and therefore flawed. Where the real magic in art happens is in the interaction with the audience anyway, and in that sense, has nothing to do with the artist.
