Agree. I'm no expert, but what I hear of American Healthcare from US friends and family is absolutely shameful.
Plus, our (non-USians) taxes aren't that high. I live in tax-happy France and pay a flat 22% income tax. Admittedly, sales tax is 20%, but I don't find prices much lower in the US than they are here.
Not all European systems are equal. Free public healthcare in the UK is dreadful these days. In France, as far as I can tell, it's still pretty good.
Still, no one in the UK is clamoring for a US-style system. Very few places in the world operate that way - for good reason.
