2 years ago, I sold my Vancouver condo (with 15 years left on the mortgage) and paid cash for a 4 bedroom house in a coastal town in the south of France. Among my small group of friends, this caused a stir. Now one couple is selling up and moving from BC to Halifax. Another is looking at Mexico.

I love Canada - parts of it, anyway. But when you see what else is out there, it becomes impossible to justify staying.
